Prompt #4

A writer puts things into ways they know readers will find meaning out of. Then the reader reads it and interprets it using symbolism and past experience. This is how the relationship works between the reader and the writer. The writer uses things to symbolize and make meaning while the reader uses imagination to interpret what the writer meant. The nature of the reader is to look for the deeper meaning to the text and to relate to parts of it to get to that meaning. The process used is to look at past experience and past books/movies. Comparing and contrasting different stories and putting ideas together through what you know/remember and what you have learned from the writer so far. The process for the writer is to make sure the reader can find the meaning and that different people can relate to the text and not just a certain group of people. The writer has to also understand how their writing can be seen us. It is important that the writer makes sure the reader will find meaning and interest into the story. This helps readers stay engaged into the story. The connection between the reader and writer are important. If the reader decides they do not like a writer others may join and then eventually the reader will lose interest. Finding the deeper meaning of the story is always the most important part and need to be well though out to fit an array of people.

Comments

  1. It is interesting how the relationship between the reader and the writer works. They kind of help each other out which is a good thing. The writer helps bring out the imagination and interpretation of the reader and the reader helps the writer by getting the fulfillment of reading their story. What I like about the relationship between the reader and writer is that the writer makes sure that the reader could interpret the significance of the text and towards others who had the same experience or relation to the text and not towards one group. The most important role for the writer is to make the story meaningful and make the story engaging so readers could enjoy it. Some readers may not like a certain writer, but others may do and that reader can still find a good connection with another writer. It's most certainly important for a reader and a writer to build a relationship.
